redux

Not being one who often refers to other websites much less journalism at large, I came across a blog at Patrick McMullan's site written by an old friend [whom I haven't seen since the 80s] who wrote copious notes about this year's oscars. We missed them [we were leaving for Peru the next day so TV was left to channel surfing between rapid packing] and therefore missed the award for Sydney Lumet. I was sad to find out later that his whole family was in attendance as it would have been nice to have seen his daughter Jenny. We were friends for many years and lost track as we all do in NYC - but the redux on this blog of the oscars and of Jenny and her sister Amy filled me in.
